| Alex Schlenker, PhD. (pseudonym: hasga) is a visual artist and distinguished scholar in cultural theory, whose artistic expression is based on still and moving images, language experimentation, and mixed media. His artistic and theoretical work focuses on the exploration of certain human (aesthetic) experiences such as language, the entanglement of time-space, and the construction of difference & similarity from a decolonial perspective. An ongoing theme throughout his work and research is the relationship between knowledge and art; specifically looking at the possibilities derived from art-based research. His areas of expertise are visual cultural studies, decolonial theory and experimental ethnography. |
